Cultural Programme at Gurugram

Sai Kashmiri Parivar which is part of the Global Sai Foundation celebrated Sai Sandhya to commemorate its second foundation day at Club Florence, Gurugram yesterday.

A large number of Sai devotees from all over NCR and other parts of country participated in this divine event. Well known Spiritual Guru and Sai Devotee Dr.Chandra Bhanu Sathpathy ji was the chief guest on the occasion. The function was specially organised to promote the kashmiri language besides its rich culture and traditions.

The Guests were greeted with Tilak and ladies were presented with Athor which is unoque tradition in kashmiri culture. The event was marked with mesmerizing kashmiri bhajans by well known Singers including Mr Rohit Das, Mr Sanjeev Gautam Raina. The budding stars from Jammu had come to display their singing talents and enthralled the audience with their devotional songs. The highlight of the evening were the Glimpses on the Sages and Saints of kashmir which was displayed and showcased in the form of Audio-Video, Role play and skit by various artists depicting the Guru Shisha parampara. Ms Swati Wangnoo Tiwari an internationally acclaimed kathak dancer presented the kathak in the form of Durga Astuti and Shiv Astuti.

Traditional kehva and kulchas were served to the audience, while few of the members were seen in colourful traditional kashmiri pandit attires for men and women depicting the pure kashmiri culture.

Sai Kashmiri Parivar whose primary objective is to promote the kashmiri culture, Language and heritage and also to provide all necessary help to the distressed community members. Sai Kashmiri parivar also presented a cheque of Rs Twenty Five Thousand only to Kashmiri Medical Emergency & Charitable Trust(KMECT) which is an voluntary organisation instrumental in providing the medical financial assistance to the needy members of the Community across India.

The event was blessed by the divine words of revered Guru ji Dr. Chandra Bhanu Sathpathy with whose permission the Sai Kashmiri Parivar came into existence a year ago. Revered Guruji in his address said that the Kashmiri community is a peaceful and non violent community with rich culture and traditions which should be preserved at any cost. Sai Kashmiri Parivar has come into existence to preserve, promote and secure the Kashmiri culture and traditions which is getting eroded after the mass exodus from the valley. In order to be the torch bearer of our Vedic culture which has spread far and wide kashmiri community will have to play a Vital role in preserving and promoting it.

Later in night all devotes were offered the prashad in the form of traditional kashmiri food in the traditional kashmiri dining style where young sewaks and children were seen serving Prasad to all the devotees present there.All devotees were also given traditional Shakarpaara in the form of parting prasad.
